Polesie is a special region. "The land of swamps", "the Belarusian island". The locals call themselves Poleshuki and have an unusual accent. Not every Belarusian can understand it.

On a mossy carpet underfoot you can't help but notice large cranberries. There are enormous scatterings of them. Washed with dew, they shine like precious rubies. If you visit the Olmany Marshes in summer, try to find the bright predatory flower drosera. And wait for it to begin its meal. The predatory plant has small insects in its diet.

Polesie has its own unspoken capital - the town of Pinsk. The people here are so special: proud, self-confident, a little arrogant. Pinchukes, they are like that!
